What is a Hydor Crystal Filter?

The Hydor Crystal Filter is a two-stage internal aquarium filter guaranteeing crystal-clear water. The first filtration stage is mechanical, which captures waste and larger particles dispersed in the water through a sponge. The second stage can be chemical or biological depending on the filter material that you insert into the specific compartment: activated carbon for chemical filtering and crystalline water or ceramic materials for specific biological filtering to keep nitrates at an ideal level.

The Crystal Filter is available in five different sizes to cater for your individual aquarium set-up, suitable for tanks from 20 to over 200 litres.
