If you want to breed your Discus or Angels, you need a clean and porous surface. These brand new Terracotta Spawning Cones are ideal. The terracotta cone is traditionally used by fish keepers for egg laying species such as Discus and Angels.

These spawning cones are matt glazed to ensure fish eggs will stick to the cone in contrast to the plastic cones, which are too smooth. A surface which is to smooth will prevent eggs and or newly hatched fry to adhere properly, which can result in end up lost on the tank floor. In the unlikely case they cant adhere properly the catch lip will prevent the eggs and fry from ending up on the bottom.

Due to the weight there is no need to weight down the cone. The cone also has a hole in the top to easily allow any air to escape.
