1. Peacock Moss (for Aquariums):

• Scientific Name: Taxiphyllum sp. “Peacock” (the exact species within the Taxiphyllum genus is often unidentified).
• Appearance: This aquatic moss has vibrant, bright emerald green fronds that grow in a distinctive triangular, feather-like pattern, resembling a peacock’s tail. The texture is often described as softer and more velvety than Christmas moss.
• Aquarium Use: It’s a popular choice for planted aquariums due to its attractive appearance and relatively easy care. It can be attached to driftwood, rocks, or used to create moss walls and carpets. It provides excellent hiding places for shrimp and small fish, and a surface for beneficial biofilm growth.
