Echinodorus Harbich is on the smaller spectrum of Amazon Sword plants. Coming in at about 10 inches in height, this aquatic plant has bright green, round leaves with a textured feel. Like most Echinodorus species, Echinodorus Harbich can be grown emersed and is fairly adaptable to a wide range of conditions. This plant’ssize is more compact when grown in aquarium settings, and color range is broader when grown under intense lighting.

Overall, easy care makes the Echinodorus genus a great choice for beginner hobbyists. It works well across many planted setups and will also do well in Wabi Kusa setups as well. Like all aquatic sword species, Echinodorus Harbich is easy to keep, fairly hardy and needs a minimum of a nutrient-rich aquarium substrate as these species of aquatic plant are heavy root feeders.
